Jim Moriarty is a consulting criminal who plans out and arranges for crimes to take place. People contact him and pay him in exchange for planning out "perfect" crimes for their personal benefit. His area of expertise ranges from faking one's own death to art forgery. He is cautious to never communicate to his clients directly as to avoid being identified, often just leaving them with his name as the only thing they know about him.A criminal genius, Jim appears to be an insane, sadistic and psychopathic individual. He often exhibits the following traits: extreme intelligence, grandiosity, incapacity for remorse, arrogance, and an unhealthy degree of self-confidence. Much like Sherlock, he has a sarcastic, cynical, albeit childish sense of humour, but unlike Sherlock, he would more often than not, speak in a tone that would intimidate or annoy his opponents. He also has an incredible capability for changing his voice and behaviour several times in a single sentence for psychological warfare - ranging from serenity, laid-back mockery to violent. Due to this, Jim is very difficult to read and anticipate.
Jim had been arranging the deaths of others from a very young age. In 1989, he killed schoolboy Carl Powers, which shows him to have been surprisingly vengeful in his youth. He was also clearly quite calculating and resourceful for his age, managing to retrieve an almost undetectable poison that would work effectively in the circumstances that he required. As an adult, he has complete mastery of terrorist techniques and intimidation strategies.Jim, to say the least, is obsessed with Sherlock Holmes and appears to enjoy his role as the villain. He is highly skilled at manipulation, and even Sherlock found it somewhat impossible to predict his next move. He, like Sherlock, is willing to do anything to prevent himself from getting bored and is capable of frightening mood swings. He is ruthless, and is committed to torturing and murdering in sadistic ways, which indicates that he does not care for people nor for their lives.

• How things are seen within the show, except with one little twist - he's still alive. his timely 'death' was but a ploy in his game, one in which he continues to tease the general public with in audio snippets of his well-being until his grand reveal; which will come in due time.

• A vampire was in attendance and watched from the sidelines, opting to turn Jim for his own agenda - to gift the already chaotic man with vampirism and watch him burn the world down.
• The vampire never gave his name, never taught him anything, and Jim has never seen him since, but has his face memorised
• For the first few years, he greatly struggled to keep his hunger and rage under control, resulting in the deaths of hundreds - including his own men.

• Jim grew up in a small cottage in Dublin, Ireland.
• He's the third born of four sons to rather bland and ordinary parents; parents that were selective with their love, with their attention and their time. Jim was the troublemaker of the lot, being born a psychopath, as most commonly are, his boredom could only be quenched by mischievous acts. He disliked his family as much as his family disliked him. He was thus often subject to painful punishments by his father, who was an abusive drunk to put it plainly, and his mother no better than an observer.
